KDSAP Research

The Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program (KDSAP) Research Team was established in Summer 2018 and seeks to understand the determinants of awareness of kidney diseases and associated risk factors among its service population across the US. It innovates the health and behavioral interventions that would effectively improve the awareness of kidney diseases and promote healthy lifestyles at the community level. The KDSAP Research Team is conducting both retrospective studies on the existing data and prospective studies on populational health interventions on chronic kidney disease.

The team developed the Alumni Survey with the goal of investigating the level of impact that KDSAP involvement had on educating undergraduate students and influencing their future career goals in medicine. The survey was sent out in February 2019, and the research team is currently analyzing the data.
