Jackie participated in her first KDSAP screening when she was part of the Harvard Summer Kidney Research Program in 2015. She then started a chapter at Carnegie Mellon University where she went to undergrad, wanting to give back to her community in Pittsburgh. She then continued to her interest in nephrology when attended University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She has always loved making an impact in underserved communities through the free screenings and community awareness events, such as the annual kidney walks during medical school. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where she also served as chief resident. She is now a first year nephrology fellow at Stanford University. She continues to stay involved in KDSAP on the alumni committee and on the Board of Trustees.
